November 16, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm @ The Alder Eco Arts Hub

Join us at the Alder Eco Arts hub on Saturday, November 16th from 1:00 – 4:00pm for a Colour Me Local Natural Dye Workshop.

Join artists Carmen Rosen and January Wolodarsky and learn about dying natural silk fabric. The cost for participants is $60, and includes a full afternoon of instruction, dyes, mordants, and one silk scarf to take home. Scarves are 14 inches wide by 72 inches long. If participants want to dye more than one scarf, they are $20 per extra scarf, and participants must let us know by November 14 if they would like extra fabric.

The Alder Eco-Arts Hub is an East Vancouver Fieldhouse Studio generously donated by the Vancouver Parks Board, and shared by Still Moon Arts Society, Resurfacing History, and the Still Creek Streamkeepers. We are funded by a grant from the BC Arts Council – all our workshops are subsidized. The building and bathrooms are accessible, with no stairs and wide doorways.
