The Role

The Marketing (and Administration) Manager is a team player who implements strategic marketing initiatives for the organisation. They are mainly responsible for social media, email campaigns and website development. The Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager though works closely with Program Managers. The Manager is technological savvy and enjoys learning, integrating and optimising softwares (company softwares listed below). They have an eye for design, excellent copywriting/editorial skills, and enjoy social media. The Manager understands the importance of JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) and is able to communicate effectively under this lens. This position is suitable for a driven young professional who’s passionate about social change and wants the opportunity to grow their career, and take on a leadership role within an organisation. 

Responsibilities

Communications and Marketing: 

  • Coordinate Still Moon’s marketing communications (MailChimp/Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) using Asana marketing calendar
  • Maintain and update Still Moon’s Website using WordPress and Divi visual builder
  • Edit outgoing content for cohesive messaging and branding
  • Create social media content 
  • Create simple aesthetically pleasing graphics using Canva/Adobe 
  • Collaborate with Program Managers on event and program marketing needs
  • Track event participant numbers reacting with coordinated marketing response 
  • Support CRM (DonorPerfect) implementation, transitioning systems/forms to integrate with the software 
  • Coordinate and conduct marketing outreach with Still Moon partners
  • Maintain photo organisation archives and photo highlights system
  • Suggest and implement reasonable marketing spending
  • Track and record monthly marketing analytics, updating Managers as necessary
  • Support media projects relating to Still Moon programs and the organisation
  • Manage info@stillmoonarts.ca email account, delegating to appropriate staff or communicating with inquiries

    Administration and Systems Management 

    Administration and Systems Management responsibilities will be handed over when appropriate. Upon getting a handle on marketing duties, Still Moon will assess capacity and determine what’s reasonable to include within the position. Responsibles may include: 

    • Administer Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
    • Manage G-Suite Admin Console
    • Suggest improvements to current systems
    • Provide training and support to employees on technical systems
    • Support hiring; coordinate interviews, post jobs, and correspond with candidates 
    • Support in staff orientation & onboarding
    • Create or update manuals for society processes and protocols, as time permits 
    • Support grant administration; fill out and submit required grant information 

    Qualifications

    • Recommended 2-3 years of marketing experience (digital focus) 
    • Strong writing and editorial skills; Enjoys creating value-centred content; Ability to ground content in long-term strategic messaging
    • Experience creating digital marketing images; a keen eye for design and aesthetic
    • Experience using a CRM (contact management system); direct experience using DonorPerfect an asset 
    • Experience maintaining and updating websites; WordPress and Divi Visual Builder experience, an asset 
    • Good research and problem solving skills
    • Competent in learning, integrating and optimising softwares: Asana Project Management, DonorPerfect, Constant Contact, G-Suite, WordPress, Divi 
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Able to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
    • Able to work independently and take initiative; proactive and assertive
    • Personable and able to work in a team environment
    • Required: values art, community and environmental stewardship 
    • Administrative/ systems development work, an asset 
    • Post-secondary studies in marketing, arts management, communications or a related field

      Job Details

      Required: Personal Computer and Phone

      Salary: $ 36,400 – $ 40,768 (25 – $ 28 / Hour) 

      Intangibles: 3 weeks vacation, winter holiday office closure, sick / personal wellness days, flexible working hours, garden meetings with the team, a collaborative and positive working environment, working towards benefits for company employees 

      Anticipated Start Date: July 18th – July 26th

      Hours : 28 hours per week
