Circus Arts Programs

Still Moon Arts offers fun and active circus skills training! Learn juggling, prop manipulation (poi & hoops), theatrical movement, and stilt-walking from professional performance artists over 4-8 sessions. Focus is given to developing good muscular habits and practicing circus arts safely. Suitable for beginners and intermediates, we teach youth and adults what they need to know to perform in our shows and events, like the finale spectacle of Moon Festival.

These workshops tend to happen once a year – please check back for an updated schedule or send us an email at info@stillmoonarts.ca if you’re interested.

Giant Puppet Workshops

We have worked with the Leadership classes at Windermere Secondary to design, create and perform with a series of puppets – both large and small – for their annual Earth Day Parade. Often we use recycled materials collected by the youth or donated by Recycling Alternatives. Examples include – Milk jug snow geese, giant bird and animal puppets, multi-person oil pipeline dragons, and other environmental themes that the youth want to express.

Conference Workshops

We have delivered workshops at events such as the C3 Climate Change Conference hosted at Windermere Secondary School, which is organized by the Leadership Program and is attended by students across the region. Our interactive workshops are tailored to the themes of the year, varying from eco-arts workshops to theatre-style sessions.
