Harvest Gathering

Sat. Sep 12th, 1 – 4 pm @ Colour Me Local Dye Garden

Join us for an afternoon of gathering and harvesting local plant species, where you can learn just some of a myriad of techniques for using these plants. At the Harvest Gathering, we will have three facilitators offering 45 minutes of instruction on seed saving, weaving with ivy, and making healing salves with local plants.

Each of the three workshops will run for three sessions. You can sign up and rotate through all three workshops, or you can just sign up for the workshop that interests you at any of the listed times.

 

Schedule:

Rotation 1 | 1:00 – 1:45 pm

Rotation 2 | 2:00 – 2:45 pm

Rotation 3 | 3:00 – 3:45 pm

We will require attendees to pre-register for this event, as we have a limited capacity in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Note: To select a time slot and workshop, please change the number in the dropdown menu to however many people you are registering for (up to 5 people in your social bubble). Please select only the times and workshops that you would like to attend.

As spots are quickly filling up, we ask you to be conscious of the limited event capacity and to register for only the number of spots that you need.

If you decide that you will no longer be attending the event, or if you do not require the number of spots you have reserved, please cancel or edit your reservation. Instructions on how to do this will be included in the confirmation email after you have registered.

COVID-19 Safety

We are very fortunate to be able to host events during the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure everyone’s safety at our events, we ask attendees to follow and respect these guidelines:

  • Maintain a 2 metre distance from those outside of your social bubble at all times
  • Wear a non-medical mask or face covering if you are able to
  • Continue to follow the City of Vancouver’s guidelines around COVID-19:
    • Remain at home if you are feeling sick, or if you or someone who you have been in contact with has experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the previous 2 weeks
    • Remain at home if you have recently travelled outside of Canada
    • Wash your hands before and after going outside
    • Cover your cough or sneeze
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided for use at all events with hands-on activities

Additionally, if you invite friends or family to the event, please make sure they are registered, as we have a limited number of spots available.
