SMOLT Emerging Artists Program - Callout for Youth Artists!

SMOLT will support young emerging artists in Renfrew-Collingwood with mentorship, resources, and studio space to create works to showcase during the 19th Annual Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival. Applications close on June 20th at 9pm.

Solstice Labyrinth Walk with Wild Berries & Cream - June 20th, 9:00-10:30am

Join us in celebrating the Summer Solstice with a morning Labyrinth walk followed by a delicious cup of strawberries and cream!

Immersion Dyeing & Bound Resist Workshop - June 22nd from 6-8:30pm

In this class, we will work with locally harvested plants and spring flowers to explore immersion dyeing and bound resist techniques.

Shedding Light Talk: Settler Solidarity in Decolonizing Restoration Ecology - June 23rd from 7:00 - 8:30pm

Learn about settler-organized ecological initiatives to help restore Indigenous land management and to integrate knowledge responsibly.

Beaver Pond(er)ing Lodging - New Eco-Arts Project!

Through the creation of a beaver and RV(recreational vehicle) woven from living willow filled with Turkey Tail mycelium, this project will bring attention to the interconnected environmental and social injustices of human displacement and habitat loss.

During this year’s Moon Festival, Constellations and Transformations, we created a Constellations performance featuring community members aged 10 to 60.
